This investment is fully subscribed
The Health & Wellbeing Challenge fund (South West) is a unique partnership led by two South West organisations aiming to finance charities and social enterprises using innovating ways to solve health and wellbeing challenges in the region.
The Fund finances charities and social enterprises with a mixture of grants and loans, to help them turn their best ideas into large-scale solutions to big issues like dementia, obesity, social care and depression.
The Health & Wellbeing Challenge fund is an impact investment fund created with investment from the Growth Fund and South West Academic Health Science Network (SWAHSN). The Growth Fund is a partnership between The National Lottery Community Fund and Better Society Capital, delivered by Access through a range of social investors. It makes up to £50m available to support charities and social enterprises to grow and create social impact in their communities. The Growth Fund uses a combination of grant funding, made possible thanks to National Lottery players, and loan finance from Better Society Capital and other co-investors, to address specific gaps in the social investment market.
