HOMELESSNESS PROPERTY FUNDS SOCIAL IMPACT REPORT 2017/18
Homelessness Property Funds First Combined Social Impact Report
The latest social impact report for the Homelessness Property Funds managed by Resonance with homelessness charity St Mungo’s has been published.
This is the first time that a single report covers all three funds and since they have the same intended impact, there is potential for learning from data across all three.
Between all three funds there are now 1247 people housed and some other positive results such as a reduction in unemployment and 81% of tenants saying that the property has had a positive effect on their support networks and relationships. From an investment perspective, the news is positive too as the investments are on track to deliver yield and capital appreciation in line with expectations.
The Funds are located in London, Bristol, Oxford and Milton Keynes and Real Lettings. The social lettings agency run by St Mungo’s offers additional support to tenants in order to help them settle in, budget effectively, maintain their homes, progress their employment prospects and improve their existing networks with friends and family. Most tenants felt more confident socially and appreciate having a stable base, important for their children’s health, development and education.
The report clearly demonstrates how these Funds are delivering positive outcomes to tenants over time.
