Resonance and St Mungo’s are delighted that their Homelessness Property Funds have won the NatWest Social Business Awards Investment “Deal of the Decade” at last night’s awards ceremony in central London, hosted by Pioneers Post.
The award recognizes the groundbreaking partnership between Resonance and St Mungo’s creating and managing three property funds that provide move-on accommodation to those who are in danger of homelessness.
The judges said of the Resonance Deal “This is an innovate financial response to a massive and growing social problem – and a great example of social investment leveraging other funding from a wide range of partners, including charities, foundations and local authorities.”
Daniel Brewer, Resonance Chief Exec is delighted about the award saying “I know our joy and purpose comes primarily from the people we see given an opportunity to have a basic right of a decent home, but every now and then it is good to celebrate how far we have all come in our passion to support homeless people across the UK. I am humbled for us to have won this award against some pretty stiff competition from people I hugely respect.
“Let’s hope this kind of recognition helps unlock new avenues that can help us provide a solution for (still) many thousands of families and individuals stuck in hostels and temporary accommodation.”
