Holsworthy Community Property Trust, an organisation set up to address the shortage of affordable housing for local people in West Devon, has been approved for a loan from the Affordable Homes Rental Fund.
The Trust typically enables people to purchase its properties on a shared ownership model. However it recognised that some people were not always in a position to be able to buy and were in need of affordable rental accommodation instead.
Holsworthy CPT secured a £95,000 loan from the AHR Fund, enabling it to offer one of its homes at an affordable rent to a local family struggling to secure local housing following a relationship breakdown.
