Following our B Corp recertification this year, with an improved score of 128.1, Resonance was also delighted to again be named as a “Best for the World 2022 Honouree” in two categories, Governance and Customers.
Each year, B Lab lists the B Corps that have scored in the top 5% of companies their size, in the world, in the five impact areas: community, customers, environment, governance and workers; and highlights them as “Best for the World”.
Resonance has previously been recognised as “Best for the World” in the two impact areas, Governance and Customers, and this year, we have done it again!
But what does this actually mean?
B Lab describes it best: “Being recognised as one of the “Best for the World™” within the global B Corp community is so much more than just a badge of honour. It represents the opportunity to share the knowledge, learnings and best practices that have granted you that top score with the rest of the community, so we can all keep on making progress towards our common goal and vision: to collectively transform the global economic system to benefit all people, communities, and the planet.”
As Sharon Smallworth from Resonance Communications team, who helped steer Resonance through its recent recertification said: “We’re very proud that we have again been recognised as “Best for the World” in two key business areas. Best for the World means we are in the top 5% of companies of our size, worldwide! That’s what I really love about BCorp, the intention is always to give everyone the opportunity to talk and share best practice and great ideas.”
This year there were 165 Best for the World honourees in the UK, and only 13 of those achieved Best for the World in two categories – representing only 7.5%.
