INVESTMENT AMOUNT: £150,000
DATE OF INVESTMENT: November 2019
SOURCE OF INVESTMENT: Health & Wellbeing Challenge Fund
IMPACT: Health, Wellbeing & Social Care; Poverty & Disadvantage
ABOUT: Trevi’s vision is for a society where all women in recovery can access good quality, psychologically informed, gender-based interventions without apology. They have helped transform the lives of thousands of women and their children. From rehab and health to housing and employment, we help any woman in recovery move from “surviving” to “thriving”. Trevi is lowering the risk of mothers being separated from their babies through their unique rehabilitation programmes delivered across three main centres.
PURPOSE OF INVESTMENT: This investment was to enable Trevi to open the Daffodil Family Centre, unlocking capacity to house 5 more families. This is a national parenting assessment centre, providing focused, purposeful, time limited residential assessments. The centre enables parenting capacity to be assessed whilst the child remains in the care of the parent.
Hannah Shead, CEO of Trevi: “It’s been a real pleasure to be able to work with Resonance. As part of the social investment process, the leadership team and Trustees undertook an afternoon exploring the impact our charity makes. This was a valuable exercise that really highlighted how far reaching our impact is for both women and children. We are grateful to Resonance for supporting us in opening Daffodil House and look forward to reaching more families.”
Tom Crook, Investment Manager at Resonance: “I was blown away when I visited Trevi, the environment and support provided for some of the most vulnerable people in society was amazing. Trevi are fantastic at supporting “last chance Mums” by delivering a unique and valuable service within the community. This investment is going to impact real lives by creating a safe space where parenting can be assessed.”
