Somerset Community Land Trust (SCLT) develops sustainable, affordable homes and community workspaces that remain accessible to local people. Established in 2011, the CLT believes thriving communities are built not only through affordable housing but also by creating places where local businesses, skills and enterprise can flourish.
Our Investment
Resonance invested £230,000 through the Affordable Homes Rental Fund to refinance four affordable rental flats and office space in the centre of Taunton. By providing patient, flexible finance, the investment enabled Somerset CLT to strengthen its existing housing offer while continuing to develop future affordable housing projects.
Our Impact
The investment helped secure affordable homes for local people while supporting Somerset CLT's long-term growth. By reducing financing costs, the organisation has been able to focus on delivering more community-led housing, ensuring local people continue to benefit from secure, affordable homes alongside workspaces that strengthen the local economy and community.
