About SoFab Sports CIC
SoFab Sports is a Community Interest Company that combines a successful sports retail business with a social mission to create employment opportunities for young adults with physical and learning disabilities. Through supported employment, workplace training and vocational development, the organisation helps people gain the confidence, skills and experience needed to progress into long-term employment. Alongside its employment programmes, SoFab Sports also delivers inclusive sports initiatives that improve health, wellbeing and community participation.
Our Investment
Resonance made two investments through the South West SITR Fund. The first supported the growth of SoFab Sports' online retail business through increased stock capacity, inventory management systems and warehouse improvements. The second enabled the organisation to expand its warehouse, increase its product range and recruit more employees.
Our Impact
The investments have strengthened SoFab Sports' trading business, creating a sustainable source of income that directly supports its social mission. By expanding its operations and creating additional supported employment opportunities, the organisation has been able to help more young adults with physical and learning disabilities develop workplace skills, gain confidence and move closer to long-term employment, while continuing to deliver inclusive sports projects that benefit the wider community.
