ABOUT: Real Ideas CIO supports creatives in the South West from its base in Plymouth. The organisation injects life into heritage buildings through using them as a creative space for local creative businesses, workshops and experiences. Real Ideas also supports young people in need to enter employment in the creative industries, supporting them to move back into formal education, training or apprenticeships. Real ideas also uses its in-depth advice, training, support and social enterprise expertise to support creative organisations looking to make a change.

PURPOSE OF INVESTMENT: This investment came from the Resilience and Recovery Loan Fund managed by Social Investment Business. The Fund aimed to support to social enterprises and charities that were experiencing disruption during COVID-19. This investment allowed Real Ideas to continue to provide support to individuals, businesses and the community by continuing to bring life to new buildings and generating value and experiences within them, alongside support for young people.
