ABOUT: A National Charity founded within Greater Manchester, the LGBT Foundation exists to support the needs of the diverse range of people who identify as lesbian, gay, bisexual and trans. The Foundation works towards the goal of creating a fair and equal society where all LGBT people can achieve their full potential. It organises events for members of the LGBT community, conducts research on social inequalities in the UK for LGBT people, and runs the LGBT Foundation Training Academy for anyone who wants to increase their knowledge and confidence of LGBT inclusion at home, at work and in the community. Each year, the Foundation serves over 40,000 people, achieving an average 98% satisfaction rating, as well as providing information to over 600,000 individuals online.

PURPOSE OF INVESTMENT: This investment came from the Resilience and Recovery Loan Fund managed by Social Investment Business. The Fund aimed to support to social enterprises and charities that were experiencing disruption during COVID-19. The Loan will allow the LGBT Foundation to continue to serve members of the LGBT community, supporting them to increase their skills, knowledge and self-confidence to improve and maintain their health and wellbeing.
