About Ella’s
Ella’s works with women who have survived trafficking and sexual exploitation, providing safe accommodation and trauma-informed support to help them recover and rebuild their lives. Their mission is to ensure survivors have the safety, care and long-term support they need to move forward and live free from exploitation.
They provide safe house accommodation for women at their most vulnerable, intensive casework to support recovery, and longer-term community-based support to help women and their families build safe, independent lives.
Our partnership
Since 2022, Ella’s has partnered with Resonance through the Women in Safe Homes fund to increase access to safe, specialist housing for women escaping exploitation.
Through the fund, properties have been acquired, refurbished and adapted to create secure homes where women can begin to recover with the support of Ella’s trauma-informed services. The homes are located within communities, close to local amenities and support networks, helping women rebuild stability and independence.
The Women in Safe Homes fund has also enabled Ella’s to house women and their children for the first time, extending the charity’s ability to support families as well as individual women.
Impact
Together, Resonance and Ella’s have increased the supply of safe, specialist homes for women who have survived trafficking and sexual exploitation at a time when demand for secure accommodation far exceeds supply.
Through social investment, the partnership has enabled women – including those with children – to move into safe, stable homes where recovery can begin. With the right housing and trauma-informed support in place, women are able to rebuild their lives, strengthen their wellbeing and begin to regain control and choice over their future.

“To have the Women in Safe Homes fund as a partner in that has just been incredible and has really accelerated our growth.” Minke van Til, Managing Director of Ella’s
