About Diversity Business Incubator
Diversity Business Incubator (DBI) supports entrepreneurs, small businesses and community organisations across the South West, with a particular focus on people from ethnically diverse communities. Through business advice, mentoring and practical support, DBI helps individuals develop sustainable businesses while promoting inclusion, opportunity and economic participation.
Our Investment
Resonance invested £100,000 through the Health & Wellbeing Challenge Fund (South West) to strengthen DBI's infrastructure, provide working capital and support the organisation's continued growth.
Our Impact
The investment enabled DBI to expand its capacity and reach more entrepreneurs, helping individuals access the skills, confidence and support needed to start and grow successful businesses. By strengthening its services, DBI has increased opportunities for underrepresented communities, helping to reduce barriers to entrepreneurship and promote more inclusive economic growth across the South West.
DBI said: “The investment is allowing us to have enough oxygen in our lungs and be able to increase our social impact in the BAME communities in the South West. Those who come across our services through the different hubs we have in Plymouth have rediscovered their voices and their identities. The sense of belonging, hence the reason of living is palpable to all and we are so looking forward to the future as the impacts start to bear fruits.”
