About Daizybell Homes
Daizybell Homes is the sister organisation of Bradford Rape Crisis, providing safe, long-term housing for women who have experienced domestic abuse and other forms of violence against women and girls. Established in response to the shortage of safe, affordable housing in Bradford, Daizybell works to ensure women have the stability they need to recover and rebuild their lives.
Our partnership
Since 2020, Daizybell Homes has partnered with Resonance through the Women in Safe Homes fund to increase the availability of safe family housing in Bradford.
The partnership introduced an innovative pilot 'mid-wife' lease model, with Winner Trading acting as the registered social landlord and leaseholder while supporting Daizybell with property and tenancy management. This approach enabled Daizybell to expand its housing offer, providing specialist support while building the experience needed to manage a growing portfolio of homes.
Impact
The Women in Safe Homes fund has enabled Daizybell Homes to establish a portfolio of 30 safe homes across Bradford, providing long-term housing for women and children fleeing domestic abuse.
The pilot 'mid-wife' lease model has also demonstrated how emerging specialist organisations can be supported to grow their housing provision, creating a pathway for more charities to provide safe homes for women in the future.
At a time when demand for safe accommodation continues to outstrip supply, the partnership has helped more women move beyond crisis into secure homes where they can recover, rebuild their confidence and create brighter futures for themselves and their children.
