More about this community share issue
In June 2014 Stockwood successfully completed their launch phase with the purchase of 150 acres of Rush Farmland and Stockwood Business Park. The land and property were placed in trust, securing the base for their charitable mission of environmental and social transformation. During 2016 and 2017, they raised more money to successfully purchase further land (the remainder of Rush Farm) and develop renewable energy sources at Stockwood.
The most recent share offer closed in December 2018 and raised a total of £301,000 of community shares. This investment will allow Stockwood to improve its infrastructure, further develop the environmental and social offer, and build community ownership (replacing certain expensive debt) by paying a competitive financial return to people committed to their cause.
