Martin and the other investment committee members analyse and assess the robustness of the social enterprise deals put forward for investment.

He is an experienced private entrepreneur with a track record in social impact investment. Martin has invested in and served as a non-exec director for a range of start-up and small businesses and is a former trustee to the Holy Hill Charitable Trust and former trustee at ClientEarth and Somerset Wildlife Trust. He is a former advisor of Dartington School of Social Entrepreneurs and is a member of a local social enterprise called Re-imaging the Levels. 

In his earlier career he worked within the telecoms and publishing industries.
