Gary joined Resonance in April 2022 as Head of Investor Relations responsible for raising assets and managing relationships with our institutional investors and their advisers.
Gary has a passion for community based social impact property investing and began his Financial Services career in 1980, firstly in the retail sector culminating in leading the M & G team in the Northeast of England, before moving into the institutional side of the business in 1997 with Fidelity.
He set up the UK Institutional business for Tilney Best Invest before joining the Asset Management Company of General Electric in 2001 as their European Director of Sales & Marketing. After a successful period as Head of Global Institutional at Ignis Asset Management, Gary founded a Community Infrastructure company in 2010, The National Wealth Service, before “retiring” in 2016 to a life of rugby union coaching.
He is a Level 3 qualified rugby union coach with many years’ experience of coaching the Club and school game in England, including 10-years with Otley, been Director of Rugby in the National Leagues, and finishing his last position in July 2023 at Morley. He has coached both the U18’s and Senior Yorkshire County men’s sides and was the Head National Coach of Latvia, for both 15’s and 7’s, from February 2019 until September 2022.
