Refurbishment Coordinators required in: London and Milton Keynes

Resonance is a social impact investment company with over 15 years of experience working with social enterprises throughout the UK.  We help social enterprises prepare for and raise capital from investors who value both their impact ambition and business model.   We have particular expertise in homelessness, community-led projects, education, health, social care and criminal justice.  We also create and manage impact investment funds and currently have just over £100m under management.  The Resonance team of 30, works from offices in Launceston, Manchester, Bristol, London & Birmingham.

Resonance currently manages the successful and award winning Real Lettings Property Fund (RLPF). This is a £60m property fund acquiring homes in London, which are then rented to St Mungo’s, a homelessness charity, in order for them to house families who are at risk of homelessness.  Resonance is now taking this London initiative to other cities within the UK partnering again with St Mungo’s, as well as other homelessness charities around the UK. This new fund is called the National Homelessness Property Fund.

Term: 3 month contract initially, with potential for extension over 2 year investment period of Fund

Locations: London and Milton Keynes

Salary: £600 per property refurbished to the prescribed standard, payable on successful handover to the Charity Partner

Responsible to: Robin Short, Fund Handover Manager and Kay Orlopp, Fund Deployment Manager

Direct Supervisory Responsibility for: External building contractors engaged by the Fund

Key Responsibilities:

  • Following completion of conveyancing an accurate fully scoped and priced schedule of works needs to be drawn up and agreed with the company who has been awarded the refurbishment contract.
  • Regular site visits to be done to monitor their progress and to ensure that the work is carried out on time, within budget and to the appropriate standards outlined in the specification. We use iAuditor to check work done.
  • Liaise with partner charity and contractor to ensure that the property meets the agreed specification and that they will accept the property as fit for purpose. If not, manage any additional works/snagging to get ready for handover.
