Resonance’s five Homelessness Property Funds won Best ESG Investment Fund: Real Estate at the ESG Investing Awards, recognising the scale and impact of our work tackling homelessness through investment.
Last week, Tom Compton, Property Fund Manager at Resonance attended the awards ceremony to collect the prize on behalf of the Resonance property team and many partners who make this work possible - from investors and local authorities, to the housing partners that support tenants every day.
The award recognises the success of Resonance’s homelessness property funds as an innovative and impact-driven housing solution.
At a time when homelessness continues to rise, and local authorities face unprecedented financial pressure, our funds directly address one of society’s most urgent systemic challenges: the shortage of safe, affordable housing for people at risk of homelessness.
Delivering homes, stability and long-term impact
Since launch, and as of 31 March 2025, the funds have:
The homes are provided in partnership with expert housing organisations that support tenants to rebuild their lives after experiencing or being at risk of homelessness.
The funds’ tenant outcomes demonstrate the difference that stable housing can make.
In the past year:
Connections to communities are also improving. 71% of tenants say they are happier in their neighbourhood, while 56% report improved relationships.
Economic outcomes are equally encouraging. 99.3% of tenants sustain their tenancy for at least six months, 77% of working-age tenants are employed or progressing toward work, and almost 80% of move-ons are positive outcomes.
Beyond the impact on individual lives, the model also delivers wider systemic value. Independent analysis by Alma Economics estimates the funds could save local authorities £349 million over ten years, while generating £1.9 million in social value per £10 million invested each year. Recognition that strengthens a growing model
Winning the Best ESG Investment Fund: Real Estate award also demonstrates the effectiveness of our property funds’ approach: combining institutional capital, strong governance and close collaboration with housing partners to deliver measurable outcomes.
As housing pressures continue to intensify, the need for long-term, scalable solutions has never been greater. Building on more than a decade of experience, we are launching a new evergreen fund, Resonance Housing Pathways Fund, in 2026, designed to attract further institutional investment and expand the number of homes delivered and people supported out of homelessness.
Together with housing partners, investors and local authorities, our homelessness property funds continue to show how impact investment can provide a sustainable solution to the UK’s housing crisis and unlock lasting social impact at scale.
This award win reflects the collective efforts of all stakeholders in our funds, demonstrating that investment can deliver both financial sustainability and life-changing social outcomes - providing not just homes, but the stability and dignity that everyone deserves.
