Not Just One Accreditation But Two…

Give me a B…

Great news… We are made-up to have been recently awarded B Corp Certification, joining other internationally socially minded businesses such as Innocent and Patagonia.

To achieve this we have had to meet the highest standards of verified social and environmental performance, public transparency and legal accountability to balance profit and purpose.

For those of you who don’t know, B Corp is a global movement of people using business as a force for good, just what we are achieving at Resonance through working with our fantastic Investors and Social Enterprises. With B Corp, we have joined a small but growing group of companies across the world. In fact we are one of only 2,600 businesses globally.

Daniel Brewer, CEO here at Resonance said “We are overjoyed at joining the ranks of B Corp, as well as strengthening our relationship with Social Enterprise Mark. The prospect of working closely with both organisations to spread the word on how business can be a force for good.”

Katie Hill, Executive Director, at B Lab UK* said of us “The B Corp community welcomes another exceptional company  – Resonance is a social impact investment company that invests in housing and other high impact social  enterprise sectors in the UK. As pioneers of the concept of mixing social and financial returns so effectively, we could not be more delighted to welcome them to and share their learning with the other 173  B Corps in the UK and over 2600 companies globally.”

In addition, to becoming a B Corper we have also achieved the highly acclaimed Social Enterprise Mark, across our entire business, which is the only internationally acclaimed Social Enterprise accreditation scheme. This scheme enables organisations to prove they are in business primarily to create benefits for people and planet.

Both of are a significant achievement for us as a business and we are proud to be wearing the badge of both.

*B Lab UK is a UK registered charity which exists to support the community of UK-based B Corps in contributing to the global movement of people using business as a force for good.
