Bristol Marketplace 2018
We recently held our second annual Marketplace event for our Bristol SITR Fund. It was a memorable, well attended evening and it gave both existing and potential investors the opportunity to meet the social enterprises that the fund has invested in.
All the social enterprises showcased the fantastic work they are doing to help dismantle poverty in Bristol and surrounding areas.
As part of the evening each of the enterprises made a short speech on the difference that investment from the Fund has made to them and what their ambitions are for the future. They were all inspirational, bringing to life their
enterprises and explaining how social investment has made a difference to the impact they can have in the wider Bristol community. There were many highlights, including a highly emotive presentation from three of the Chandos brothers, three of the many men that have been helped to deal with and overcome dependency problems, by being a resident at Chandos House – the only all male residential clinic in Bristol tackling addiction issues.
Our latest investee Street Impact Bristol, explained how they are going to help 125 rough sleepers in Bristol over the next three and half years, aiming to support them off the streets, through providing accommodation and vital support services tailored to each individual’s needs.
A short video taken on the evening of the event captured some of the highlights.
The gathering was also an opportunity to celebrate the launch of the latest annual impact report for the Resonance Bristol SITR Fund, covering the second year of the fund, which has currently raised £2.6miliion.
The Resonance Bristol SITR Fund is the first of a series of regional SITR funds that we are planning to launch. The second fund in the series launched earlier this year – the Resonance West Midlands SITR Fund, which has already received over £1.2million of initial investment.
Both of our current SITR funds remain open for investment and further information can be found on our website.
We would like to thank all those that attended the Marketplace, both social enterprises and investors, as well as those from the wider Bristol community.
